Aloha Friday, as an islander, this concept of driving hours one direction and seeing a whole new place still amazes me. We traded oceans and waves for mountains and hills. Blessed beyond words.
Aloha Friday, digging through old photos, found these gems. To think @pie.slice.dice gave me the opportunity to play photographer with her dice. I learned so much from that first shoot til now. 3 years later and to many more, thank you.
Aloha Friday, growing up, we celebrates all cultures and religions even if it’s not our beliefs. Obon was one of those, even those we were not Buddhist, we enjoyed these events with our friends and family
Aloha Friday, so much talent and creativity surrounds me. I’m so blessed to just witness you all in your element. Thank you @theblackleitattoo @camscrafts @tattedbypiigii for allowing me to share these moments.
Aloha Friday, sometimes life happens and takes a moment to process. We’re so used to instant gratification, that we forget some things come with time. I’ve had these photos for months, I didn’t even completely look through them. Once again @pie.slice.dice amazes me with her work.
Aloha Friday, I’ve only done a few weddings, and this one really teared at my heart. Not just the moments between the bride and groom, but also the moments with their loved ones, present and not. It brought tears to my eyes to witness.
Aloha Friday, remember to talk to your loved ones, remember what’s important in your life and do what you need to keep it. And lastly, be grateful, be thankful, be humble, and be proud.
Aloha Friday, as I fly across the ocean, Im left reflecting on the amazing opportunities that I am blessed with. Allowed in on these intimate moments, not just ink being put on skin, but the transference of mana, ‘ike, and mo’olelo. It is art, but it is also traditions being perpetuated by the lāhui. I take pride in being from Hawaii so I respect and perpetuate the culture the best I can. Luckily I have great examples all around me and will follow in their lead.
Aloha Friday, this is was never planned but it’s exactly where I needed to be. It’s not all about the finish line, it’s about the journey. Just a general life thought that I need to remind myself every now and then.
